Types of Establishments:

New Establishments:
  • Free Zone Establishment - a new business entity with a sole business owner.
  • Free Zone Company - a new business entity with 2-5 partners.

Branches:
  • Local Branch. A branch of a domestic firm operating in the UAE. The parent company should be at least a year old.
  • Foreign Branch. A domestic branch of a foreign firm from outside the UAE. The parent company should be at least a year old.

Types of Business License:
  • Commercial License - Import, export, distribution or warehousing of goods (two activities must be specified).
  • General Trading License - Import, export, distribution or warehousing of goods (general activities).
  • Consultancy/Services License - Any type of management, marketing, academic, real estate, logistics or industrial consulting.
  • Industrial License - Import of raw materials, manufacturing, processing, assembling, packaging and export of finished products.
